Competitions - General Rules and Guidelines
A competitor cannot accompany another in the same competition (but see Traditional Pairs later).
If there are fewer than three entries in a competition it may be abandoned.
Challenge cups are to be held by the winners for 12 months only.
Challenge cups may be engraved at the holder's expense.
For entry in the various Children's competitions a competitor must be aged 16 or under. There is no entry fee for the children's competitions. Under 16s entering an adult competition continue to pay.
A competition described as Novice is intended for novices and non-previous winners.
Competitors entering the Traditional Pairs more than once must play a different instrument in each entry.
An entry fee is required for each half of a Traditional Pair, except Children's Instrumental Pairs (see above)
